Contribute

The Coleman A. Young Foundation continues to fundraise to pay for college scholarships awarded to selected students and, hopefully, to increase both the number of students receiving awards and size of the award itself because of rising tuition and fees costs.

To contribute to CAYF use the Network For Good link to the right or contact:

Why Contribute

A contribution to CAYF is an investment in young people who have the talent and the will to uplift themselves through higher learning and uplift the city through their committment to making a difference.

What these young people lack is the financial wherewithal. CAYF provides these students an opportunity to apply their will and develop their talents.

A contribution to CAYF is a wise investment in the future.

CAYF scholarships are for $20,000. This award is distributed in equal amounts over the four years of undergraduate work

The Foundation also provides a support system that has proven to be a crucial component in the academic success of CAYF Scholars.
In its scholarship selection process, CAYF seeks out good students who have overcome significant hardship and are ready for the next level of success if given the opportunity.

CAYF Scholars graduate from colleges and universities at a rate far exceeding state and national levels.  The CAYF Scholar Program retains 92% of its students. This exceeds the average college retention rate by more than 30 points.
