Danyale Dockery

Danyale Dockery is a passionate and dedicated advisor with the CAYF’s REAL Skills Program. She is an alumna of the program and a first-generation college graduate. Her true calling is empowering underrepresented high school students to pursue their potential through higher education.

Danyale’s heart lies with historically underrepresented students who face unique challenges. She is a professional college advisor who mentors and provides hope for her students and supports them as they navigate the collegiate journey with confidence, practical advice, and emotional encouragement.

Undergraduate pursuit: Wayne State University, Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology

Jacie is a current college student with an unwavering commitment to build her community and create a brighter future for those who follow in her footsteps. In high school she received invaluable support from her family and community and, as a college student, she’s paying it forward. Every month, Jacie dedicates a few hours to helping organizations assemble food packages for youth in need, ensuring that others have the same resources and encouragement to succeed just as she did.

Beyond her community service, Jacie is the proud owner of Jacie’s SWEETERIE, a thriving business where she crafts delicious treats and caters large events. With her entrepreneurial spirit, she not only brings joy to her clients but also inspires others in her community to pursue business ownership.

​After graduation, Jacie plans to study to pursue a Master's in physician assistant studies, with a focus on psychiatry. Her goal is to leverage compassionate and care to make a difference in the mental health field.

Jacie also enjoys traveling, and recently enjoyed a trip to Jamaica, and a cruise to the Bahamas. Cultural and community explorations fuel her diverse perspectives, personal growth and professional aspirations.

CAYF is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization established in 1982 to provide financial support and mentor young Detroiters who seek a college education. CAYF has provided over 450 college scholarships to eligible students from Detroit schools, of all backgrounds.
