"When You Fight for a City"

"Situations: Catching up with Sade Walker and Tia Prescott

We originally shared Sade Walker's and Tia Prescott's stories in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Both women were so driven and passionate that they compelled us to revisit them and offer an update.

Sade is now a graduate of Lane College (Jackson, TN). Tia also graduated from Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI).

Their futures are bright, and CAYF could not be more proud. Enjoy. #GoYoung

"Closing the Wedge on Coleman Young" Khary Turner | TEDxDetroit

Detroit Mayor Coleman Young was brilliant, but he was often characterized as divisive. History got it wrong, until recently.
Khary Kimani Turner helped to correct the narrative with this talk at TEDx Detroit, at the Fox Theatre. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Tia Prescott

The community at-large met Tia Prescott in 2015. You now know that she is a college graduate, and is employed as a territory manager for Altria Corporation, in Dallas, TX. Her first impression, however, remains riveting. Way to go, Tia. #GoYoung
